This identifies all listings on the map search and stores listing data, availability and pricing. Once all listing information is gathered, secondary processes remove spam listings and assign auxiliary labels and categorization.
For less popular locations, only Airbnb overview data is recorded.

Doorbll uses a combination of HTML and API web scraping to obtain data. While human verification checks are done from time to time, it is otherwise assumed all property listings provided by Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com are accurate and genuine.
To match properties and hotels listed on the platforms, image recognition software determines if the property photos have similarity above a threshold.
Due to dynamic pricing, the price per night varies depending on how long the guest is staying, the day of the week and time of year, and for some listings a minimum number of nights' stay is required.
In order to maintain consistency between listings within Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo, we take price per night for two time periods each week. These are the weekday prices (Monday to Thursday) and weekend prices (Friday to Sunday). Price are recorded for 2, 4 and 6 guests for following year. If the listing is not available during these time windows, no price is recorded. This provides comparable data between sources.
For Booking.com, the price of the cheapest room is taken only, a detailed breakdown of price per room is too time consuming for the default web scraper. To obtain a more detailed breakdown of room prices per listing, contact us.
Use the Request page to request raw data for a particular location, or data for a particular area of interest (eg: reviews). This will be emailed to you upon completion. While quick requests are typically provided for free, there may be a charge for large datasets or high workload analytics requests.
Yes. Each report has links to download listing overviews as a .csv file. This is cleaned data with additional calculated fields. Pricing, calendar availability, reviews and detailed descriptions of each listing are not freely available by default.
